What max HR and zones are used?

If a custom max HR is blank, uses 220 − age (common estimate). Zones are simple % bands of max HR: ~50–60%, ~60–70%, ~70–85%. Many alternate formulas exist; this is educational.

Does the decimal separator matter?

This calculator uses plain decimal numbers. If a result looks wrong, check whether you used a comma instead of a dot (or vice versa) where the field expects one.
