BMI (metric)

Weight kg · height cm — adults, screening only

FAQ

Which BMI bands does the label use?

BMI = weight kg ÷ (height in meters)² with height in cm converted by ÷100. Labels follow common WHO-style cutoffs: <18.5 underweight, <25 normal, <30 overweight, ≥30 obesity. Translated pages read category strings from the page JSON when present.

Does the decimal separator matter?

This calculator uses plain decimal numbers. If a result looks wrong, check whether you used a comma instead of a dot (or vice versa) where the field expects one.

Disclaimer

Not medical advice. BMI is a rough population screen; muscle mass, age, and ethnicity are not modeled here.
