Two legs → hypotenuse & area

Enter leg lengths a and b (right angle between them)—hypotenuse c and area ab/2.

FAQ

Which sides are assumed as inputs?

Both legs must be positive; hypotenuse = √(a² + b²) and area = ab ÷ 2. It does not accept hypotenuse+leg to solve the other leg.

Does the decimal separator matter?

This calculator uses plain decimal numbers. If a result looks wrong, check whether you used a comma instead of a dot (or vice versa) where the field expects one.
