Solve for missing V₂

Stock molarity M₁, stock volume V₁, and target molarity M₂—find final volume V₂ = M₁V₁/M₂.

V₂ uses same volume unit as V₁.

FAQ

How is V₂ computed from M₁, V₁, and M₂?

This page uses the dilution relation M₁V₁ = M₂V₂ and solves V₂ = M₁V₁ ÷ M₂ (six decimals). All three inputs must be positive; V₂ is in the same volume unit as V₁. Comma decimals are normalized before parsing.

Does the decimal separator matter?

This calculator uses plain decimal numbers. If a result looks wrong, check whether you used a comma instead of a dot (or vice versa) where the field expects one.
